We’re into the final days of this 2013 election campaign and I had the great opportunity to speak with our leader during a brief moment of relaxation for both of us.
I was attending the Burnaby Minor Hockey Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Adrian was getting ready to head off to Maple Ridge for a campaign event when we talked on his bus.
Adrian has high hopes that we will take four seats in Burnaby and that I have to help lead the charge, not only by taking Burnaby-Edmonds for the third straight election, but helping Janet Routledge in Burnaby North, Jane Shin in Burnaby-Lougheed and Kathy Corrigan in Burnaby-Deer Lake reach as many voters as possible so that we get our Orange NDP vote out in force.
Why do I bring that up today? Well, from May 8 to 11, you can get early voting and free yourself up to help your local NDP candidate on E-Day, Tuesday, May 14.
I’m still looking for E-Day volunteers, so if you want to help out, please call Nancy Whiteside, my E-Day co-ordinator, at 604-433-2998 or drop by my campaign office at 7645 Royal Oak Ave. and she will have a task for you.
Thanks to all my supporters and volunteers, I’m looking forward to serving your needs again!!
(As for my meeting with Adrian, I still can’t get over how he’s kept all his hair. I lost that battle too many years ago!)
